For those who are living in the greater Detroit area, a good site to visit is the Detroit Chinese Network. It has community information, market place, advertisements, restaurants, etc. It also links to many local Chinese organizations and Chinese schools for kids. If your kids are about to go to colleges, check out the Detroit News College Guide. For those who are new to the U.S., a good place to visit is the University of Michigan's International Center. It has everything new students need to know, such as campus orientation, visa and immigration information, employment and tax information, housing and banking information, how to get a social security number and driver's license, and travel information, etc. Another resourceful site is Chinese Students & Scholar Association at the University of Michigan. It has links to Chinese consulates offices in the US, US immigration regulations, and other tidbits such as how to buy a bicycle, a used car or how to find the cheapest airfair. For those who lives in Ann Arbor, you can check out the most recent free Chinese movies being shown on campus. It also has a link to all China related sites, such as reading Chinese news and magazines on the web, Chinese software, etc. For those who wants to find more HIT alumni, or even your high school alumni, check out the World Alumni Page.
